Please join us in congratulating our Stenden University Team Members for their fantastic performance of attaining First and Second Place in the International Case Competition 2009 hosted by College of North Atlantic – Qatar.
Stenden University Qatar was represented by two teams, of which one was the defending champion of last year’s GCC Case Competition. The teams were represented by the following students:
1st Place: Stenden Alpha Consultants (Defending Champion)
- Aleksander Jankovic
- Christopher Seidenberg
- Sabika Naqvi
- Sajid Ettol
2nd Place: Stenden Delta Consultants
- Vladimir Jankovic
- Mohammad Haidari
- Chandni Kohli
- Oleg Kashkanov
The International Case Competition participating teams were all equally challenging with students from different universities and colleges from the GCC Area and Canada. These were:
Holland College - Charlottetown, PEI, Canada
Nova Scotia Community College, Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada
Dubai Men’s College, Dubai UAE
Sharjah Men’s College – Sharjah UAE
Sharjah Women’s College – Sharjah UAE
Ras Al Khaimah Men’s College - Ras Al Khaimah UAE
Stenden University – Qatar, Doha, Qatar
Carnegie Melon University, Doha, Qatar
College of the North Atlantic – Doha, Qatar (Host)
What was unique was the fact that out of 15 teams, the Stenden Alpha and Delta Consultants won ALL three rounds and therefore were able to compete against each other for the First and Second place ranking.
The winners each received a Toshiba Laptop along with the 1st Place Trophy and Participation Certificates & Gifts, and the runners up each received a touch-screen phone along with their Participation Certificates & Gifts.
We would also like to thank the staff members and students who attended the Case Competition to show their support for our teams.
