South Africa is a country with almost unrivalled beauty. It is incredibly diverse in landscape, climate, architecture, cultures and languages and it is for this reason that South Africa is often referred to as a world in one country. This amazing landscape is the setting of a dramatic and turbulent history and the home to the world renowned statesman and Nobel Peace Prize winner Nelson Mandela. South Africa has 11 official languages which reflect a variety of tribal groups, cultures and descent.

South Africa is divided into nine provinces: Eastern Cape, Western Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Gauteng, North West, Free State and Northern Cape.
