Hestia Student Lounge is located just a hop away from the main entrance of Stenden university and consist of two houses.
Since the lounge was opened in 2002 students can visit the facilities daily from 11:00 AM till 06:00 PM to study, relax, socialise or meet with their module assignment groups or classes. The idea is to provide a home away from home for Dutch and international students in an intercultural atmosphere.
Hesia offers students a place where they are welcome to realize their own public event ideas (such as dinners) or even their private birthday dinner for up to 30 guests.
All the equipment you need to prepare a dinner is available for public use. In order to provide a cosier place for Stenden students, the four voluntary hosts of Hestia decided to take initiative and renovated the lounge during February 2011.
New features are TV flat screens to work on or watch TV or DVD and a beamer screen to give presentations on.
Furthermore a coffee and tea corner as well as new couches and tables create an overall modern atmosphere for Stenden students.
