Bachelor study programmes
ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
To be admitted to one of the Bachelor programs you have to meet certain admission requirements. Stenden University of Applied Sciences recognizes the following general international qualifications:
- International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma and European Baccalaureate Diploma
- High School diploma from an accredited institution
Five GCSE/GCE ‘O’ level passes plus two ‘A’ level passes
Associate, Bachelor or Master Degree
Furthermore some of our Bachelor programs demand additional entry requirements. The additional entry requirements can be found in the list of admissable diplomas. Please view the
list of admissable diplomas.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTSFOR ENGLISH PROGRAMS
All non-EER applicants are required to submit an English proficiency test with their application. Exceptions are made for students, who have had their preparatory education in a country where English is the official working and educational language.
The language requirements for EER students are the same as for Dutch students. If English has been a compulsory subject of the curriculum of the preparatory education, no additional language tests are required.
Stenden University of Applied Sciences accepts three kinds of official language tests: IELTS, TOEFL and the Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English.

- A diploma equal to a Britsh Bachelor or Master diploma, preferably in the fields of business or economics
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS FOR ENGLISH PROGRAMS
All non-EER applicants are required to submit an English proficiency test with their application. Exceptions are made for students, who have had their preparatory education in a country where English is the official working and educational language.
- Academic IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum of 5.0 for each skill)For more information: http://www.ielts.org. NOTE: Starting the academic year 2014/2015 the required academic IELTS level will increase to IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum of 5.5 for each skill).
- TOEFL 550 (paper based), 213 (computer based) and 80 (internet based). NOTE: Starting the academic year 2014/2015 the required TOEFL score will increase to: 575 (paper based), 232 (computer based) and 90 (internet based). For more information: http://www.toefl.org. - Cambridge ESOL score CAE-C
Please note: If you do not have the appropriate level, it’s possible to enroll in our English Preparatory Language Course.

If your English language skills are of an insufficient level, but your diploma and profile are found to be of a sufficient level, you may be admitted for a short or long preparatory language course. You must have passed an English proficiency test with the below mentioned minimum scores.

36 weeks course / two semesters:
