Admission Requirements
Admission Requirements:
University entrance is a total of at least 35 marks.
30-35 marks qualify for entrance at Dean’s discretion.
Marks are made up as follows:
0-29% =1 mark
30-39% =2 marks
40-49% =3 marks
50-59% =4 marks
60-69% =5 marks
70-79% =6 marks
80-89% =7 marks
90-100% =7 marks
Example to Enrol at Stenden South Africa:
English or (1st Language) 60-69% = 5 points
Afrikaans or (2nd Language) 50-59% = 4 points
Accounting (group) 70-79% = 6 points
Geography (group) 70-79% = 6 points
Life Sciences (group) 80-89% = 7 points
Maths (group) 40-49% = 3 points
Life Orientation 60-69% = 5 points
Total = 36 points
Essay
Each student should also write an essay of approximately 300 words (half a page) about the following:
- Why you think Stenden South Africa should accept you?
- Why you want to study Hospitality Management?
- What you think makes a good manager?
The essay will be assessed by the selection committee, and afterwards be called for a personal or telephonic interview, which is entirely up to the prospective student.
The final decision about admission is made by the Selection Committee. EISS International has the right to accept/reject any application without giving any reasons for doing so.
