Invitation to TAMK Art, Music and Media 6th International Week April 23-26, 2013
 

ERASMUS Staff Week "Hopes and hurdles of internationalizing university administration" - Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences
 
After the success of our first International Staff Week in 2011 we would like to invite you to the second Bremen ERASMUS staff week for the administrative staff, which will take place from
15 – 19th April 2013.
The event is jointly organized by the five higher education institutions of the Land Bremen and focuses on the opportunities and challenges of internationalizing university administration.
During the staff week there will be the chance to meet with counterparts of our institution and also to present examples, ideas and concepts of internationalization strategies or projects of home university, which will be analyzed and discussed in the framework of
interactive workshops.  Therefore we would highly appreciate presentations from the participants.
We would be glad to welcome colleagues from all administrative departments and other associated fields of work.
The language of communication will be English.
The number of participants is limited to 30 people.
Deadline for applications is December 15th, 2012.
 

We have the pleasure to inform you that the 2nd International Week for Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) organized by Tampere University of Applied Sciences (TAMK) will take place in Tampere, Finland, on 22-26 April 2013.
 
The overall theme of the week will focus on topics highlighted in the Horizon 2020 Programme, especially, but not exclusively, from the point of view of the Living Labs approach.
 
In addition to workshops and study visits, an interesting social programme will be offered. The week is intended for all HEI staff members involved in RDI projects, including researchers, teaching, and project administrative staff.
 
The invitation with a detailed programme and guidelines for practical arrangements, e.g. registration, will be available online in January 2013. For any questions do not hesitate to contact us!

The University of Cádiz offers an International Staff Week with the Topic The Internationalization of the University Management and it will take place in Cádiz from 22nd to 26th April 2013.
Due to the reduced number of places (20), we will use the policy first come, first served, so we will not have a deadline.

ERASMUS INTERNATIONAL STAFF WEEK
29th April – 3rd May 2013
 
After the success of our first staff week in 2012 we would like to invite you to the second international staff week which will take place on April 29 – May 3 2013.
 
The staff week is jointly organized by Instituto Politécnico de Lisboa and their eight branches higher school or institutes.
 
As your institution is an important cooperation partner for one of our units, we would be glad to receive a representative of your institution here in Lisboa.
 
The purpose of the international week is to exchange experiences, benchmark and network, share best practices, enhance co-operation as well as international and intercultural interaction. In addition to these you will have an opportunity to meet and discuss with colleagues from IPL and branch schools and participants from another countries. Since it would be essential to learn from the different ways services are organized in different institutions, the participants are requested to make a short presentation on their home institution/support service.
So we invite you to hold a brief presentation, of ca 10 minutes, about your institution and job in a short workshop (kick off day)
 
There will also be the chance to meet with counterparts within our institutions.
 
We would be glad to welcome colleagues from all administrative departments and other associated fields of work: International office staff, Erasmus student’s integration structures, skills certification services, Library and Information Services, ICT and Multimedia/technological services, administrative structures – Student Affairs Services, student administration, accounting and finance Services
Facilities services, marketing and communication, Quality management, production and massage therapy services (Dance school)
 
We invite you to present examples, ideas and concepts of yours home institutions, of ca 20 minutes, which will be analyzed and discussed in the framework of workshops.
 
The participants will thus have the chance to get to know the different units of Instituto Politécnico de Lisboa, according their interest.
 
What can you expect?

  • Getting to know the IPL branch schools;

International Staff Week Barcelona 
The Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona is pleased to announce its ERASMUS STAFF WEEK (ESW), to be held in May 2013, between 6th and 10th. Period for applications to that event is now open, until January, 25.
 
The Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona organizes since 2007/08 the Erasmus Staff Week (ESW), addressed to all these staff members from partner Universities interested in knowing the UAB and its way of working as a public university from an international perspective. We can host a maximum of 25 participants. Please, be aware that we can allow a maximum 1 (one) representative from each institution and 2 (two) representatives per country.
 
We highly encourage the staff interested in visiting the UAB within the Training Staff action of the Erasmus programme to join our Erasmus Staff Week.

The deadline to submit on line application forms is January, 25. Confirmation of selected and non-selected participants by mail, on January, 31st.

6th Erasmus Staff Week at FAU Erlangen-Nuernberg - Call for applications.
 
Dear partner universities,
we are happy to announce that the next Erasmus Staff Exchange Week shall take place between 10th and 14th June 2013.
Erlangen is situated 20 km North of Nürnberg (Nuremberg) in northern Bavaria, that is Franconia.

For basic  information on the Staff week for International Officers, check the pdf in the annex and for detailed information check  our webpage and last years' programmes.

Especially members of administrative staff involved in international affairs and student or staff exchange are welcome to participate, the programme is NOT suitable for other areas. Working language is English and good communication skills are required. Additionally, we can also accept 2-3 colleagues from university libraries for whom the general programme will be the same, but specific trainings shall take place in our university library. Librarians should be fluent in German, though.
 
Please let us know if and when your staff week in 2012/13 takes place.
I have several members from International Office, Library, Examinations Office, Registrar's Office etc. who wish to go abroad and braden their horizon. Thank you.

Ljubljana Summer School Take the Best from East and West
It is an internationally renowned programme that was created in the summer of 2000. In 2012, 480 students from all over the world studied 27 Bachelor and Master Courses taught by FELU and international faculty. The programme imparts knowledge with social activities by taking full advantage of Slovenia’s unique geographical position: the meeting point of East and West. More information in the attachment.
