Contact persons in the institutes
In the various institutes you will get in touch with various people. Below you will find an explanation of what you can expect from them.
Tutor and study coach
Your tutor and study coach are the people that you will have frequent contact with. That is why you go to them if you have or you think you have a problem. They should refer you to Disability & Study contact person or to the study coach co-ordinator (or year co-ordinator and education co-ordinator or teamleader)
Study coach co-ordinator
This co-ordinator is the right person you can go and see about questions and problems. For instance,
Study planning, career planning, A (negative) binding study advice, tests and exam rules and regulations.
The study coach co-ordinator also plays an important role in applying for and organising extra facilities. He/she will be present at your meeting with the Disability & Study contact person about the contract.
Secretary of the Exam Committee
The Exam Committee takes the final decision on adaptations in the curriculum and sometimes also on facilities. The contract is always signed by the Secretary of the Exam Committee. For issues outside the contract, you can write to the Secretary of the Exam Committee. Information on this can be found in the study guide of your institute or on Bello.
The Front office usually keeps the diaries of the Secretaries of the Exam Committees and it can give you information on their availability.
Module co-ordinator
Before the start of a module, it is a good idea to contact the module co-ordinator and, using the contract, to discuss the necessary facilities for that particular module. The module co-ordinator has already been informed about the contract by the study coach co-ordinator.
Information about, for instance, the availability of the module co-ordinator can be obtained from the front office of your institute on the first or second floor or from Bello.
Internship co-ordinator
If you have any type of impairment you should see your internship co-ordinator to see which internship is suitable for you. Also, you can discuss which facilities and adaptations you will be needing in your internship. For instance, a reduced number of hours per week or the use of a Reading pen.

The Student Support Facility in Leeuwarden is a collaboration between the Student Counsellors of the Christelijke Hogeschool Nederland, the Noordelijke Hogeschool Leeuwarden, the Van Hall Instituut and the GGZ-Friesland (de Geestelijke Gezondheidszorg Friesland).
Many students that are referred to the Student Support facility have complaints such as: depression, stress, fears, eating disorders, identify problems, doubts about what you want, social contact problems, problems with family relationships, or even traumatic events in the past.

If it is, then the student counsellor or the GP will take care of the referral. After that you can phone the secretariat of the student support facility to make an appointment.
You can make use of the services of GGZ-Friesland for free.
