Major-Minor
Stenden has Majors and Minors in its programme structure. A major is your main subject, for example, Tourism Management or Hospitality Management. A minor is a subject that you choose to specialise in during the course of your studies.
The major deals with those subjects and disciplines that are particular to the industry you are being trained for and consist of the foundation phase, the main phase (i.e. the first 2,5 years of the course) and the internship.
You need 210 credits to complete your major.
The minor consists of subjects that give depth or breadth to your course. They may also count as preparation towards a possible master programme. The minors are offered in the third year and represent credits, one minor of 30 or two minors of 15 credits. Naturally, you can also take part in the Grand Tour or an exchange programme in your third year minor semester.
General Minors
Any Stenden student can do these minors regardless of their particular course.
Specific Minors
These are available to Stenden students in one course or in a part of a course. Check the overview of minors for more information.
