The majority of the programmes which are offered involve: real work placement, team projects guest lectures and cases from the work field. It is believed that experience is the best teacher. The Netherlands is the first non – English speaking European country to introduced international studies, with courses thought completely in English. Also, because of Germany and Belgium, the Netherlands teaches Germany and French as well.
Internationalization
Being a heart of internationalization, the Netherlands has been open to many people from different cultural backgrounds, countries and continents. The fact that the world is becoming globalise day after day, the Netherlands benefits of its diversity and multiculturalism, since there are more than 100 people, studying and teaching in this great country. The Netherlands is the first non-English speaking country to teach in English.
The Netherlands and Languages
About 87% of the population in the Netherlands speaks English, besides Dutch, German and French. This makes it easy for internationals to express their selves well in places such as the supermarket, and other public areas. All that is needed is a simple “hello”, and identification of the correct value of the euro coins. This is mostly applied at the supermarkets, and shops.
As a land of windmills, green meadows and cattle grazing, the Netherlands has been associated with milk, butter and cheese in centuries. But cheese is the most important of all.
